Pilgrimage to Csíksomlyó – on every first weekend of the month

To bring this place up to the famous pilgrimage destinations in the world, to give back in this hurried world a moment of contemplation and recreation with so much needed spirituality, in the fall of 2008 has began organizing the pilgrimage on the first Saturday. On the first Saturday of each month parishioners gather for a service of celebration and procession of rosary.

Mary Trail

The Mary Road is a network of pilgrimage routes and hiking and being under the building which includes Central Europe, from Mariazell Austria to Șumuleu Ciuc having a distance of 1400 km, which may be covered by foot in 60 days. Road or segment of road can be driven individually or in groups, first of all by walking but by cycling too. The road is marked with specific markings, passing through nature to bypass public roads with heavy traffic. The Maria Road goal is to share spiritual values, sense of community during walking, discovering nature. People discover themselves and the world at the same time and in this way they changing his point of view.

Day of thousand Szeklers girls

The annual meeting on the first Saturday of July, organized for the preservation of folklore related with the Szeklers folk dance, the port and music. Girls and boys dressed in Szeklers costumes, villagers gather in the center of Miercurea Ciuc and come with wanes in the saddle of Șumuleu, where the ceremony will serve as a celebration of Szeklers folklore.
