Şumuleu-Ciuc is a small quiet location in Transylvania at the foot of the Harghita Mountains: Şumuleu-Ciuc, which was established in the very centre of Szekler Land, and today is part of Miercurea Ciuc. This place itself is the Creator’s given safety – the Franciscan order’s centre, the citadel of the spiritual and intellectual life since centuries. Tens of thousands of pilgrims visit the church on the Pentecost pilgrimage day every year.
